Position Summary:
Autonomy is a highly successful $5B public enterprise software company that has experienced tremendous growth and has been profitable for each of the past 35 quarters.
We are looking for an experienced hands on Human Resource Manager with significant experience in all areas of HR with emphasis on recruiting and candidate sourcing to support HR functions for our Chicago, IL and fields offices.
Key responsibilities include:
• Act as the sole Human Resources representative in Chicago, serving as a consultative business partner to each employee group
• Lead the regional recruiting function with primary emphasis on technical hires
• Work with senior hiring managers, HR recruiting partners and external agencies to ensure timely and relevant candidate sourcing, screening, processing and placement.
• Manage Autonomy background check policies and procedures for various employee groups according to Autonomy client security regulations.
• Partner with a disperse HR group on core department functions such as benefits administration, employee relations, HRIS, regulatory compliance and immigration processing
• Manage the on-boarding process for new hires
• Process terminations including employee exit interviews
• Assist in the coordination and administration of miscellaneous Human Resource processes and Autonomy programs including timecard processing, employment verification, tuition assistance, certification recognition, and matching gifts programs
• Direct department managers on employee relations and employee performance issues and respond to employee questions and grievances in a timely and professional manner
• Act as Autonomy’s liaison with local HR vendors

The successful candidate will be able to prioritize and affectively handle multiple tasks at once, and must thrive in a fast paced, dynamic work environment with geographically dispersed team members and minimal oversight. We are looking for a self-starter, who is looking for the opportunity to take on significant responsibility with a successful, growing company.
Additional Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years of HR business partner experience with emphasize on recruiting
• Demonstrated knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines
• Prior experience working for a public technology company required (software company experience preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations related to Human Resources is required along with a demonstrated ability to interpret and apply the same.
• High quality work product with fast turnaround times
• Self directed organizational abilities and proven attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to manage shifting priorities
• Proven ability to handle sensitive/confidential information and situations with diplomacy, confidence and tact
• Computer literacy with a strong a knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, aptitude with multiple HR database, Benetrac and ADP Payroll systems
• Must maintain punctual, regular and consistent attendance and have the ability to support activities beyond a standard 40 hour work week.
