DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsible for the design and development of medical devices. Will design parts, make prototypes, write validation protocols, test, analyze data and generate reports. Perform electro-mechanical surgical handpiece and related device design by using 3D CAD software Pro/E. Perform stress-strain analysis using FEA software such as ANSYS and conduct engineering drawing and BOM creation with GD/T principles & tolerance stack-up analysis. Utilize high performance actuation system design used in surgical instrumentation. Perform related fixture design to support V&V activities and work with electrical and software engineers to optimize the system. Conduct DC circuit analysis by using oscilloscope and multi-meter and other electrical measurement devices. Perform fundamental software debugging and design and design-to-cost, DFM, DFA and other methodology analysis. Conduct validation protocols and reports and other technical documentation creation. Conduct experimental data analysis based on the acceptance criteria of the test.
