You’ll be working for the Group Learning & Development team, one of OCS’ central support functions, vital to ensuring that the specialist divisions operate consistently and effectively.

A training expert and champion, ideally with a background in Catering or Facilities Management, you’ll help to deliver the Group’s training strategy. Reporting to the Regional Learning and Development Manager you will support the skills, knowledge and industry specific learning and development needs of key business contracts - primarily where we provide contract catering services.

You will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver robust quality skills’ training that meets both the needs of the business and employees. This will also involve supporting the identification and management of Regional Area Trainers, ensuring the effective delivery of our National Vocational Qualification training programme. You’ll be responsible for championing various learning and development programmes and you’ll also ensure that health and safety and other statutory requirements are incorporated into all training activities as appropriate.

Please note:  This is a regional role supporting key client contracts and the willingness and ability to travel and work flexible hours is essential.

To succeed in this role you will need the following:

• Strong background in catering operations or other facilities services
• Proven track record of innovative delivery of training solutions
• Substantial adult training experience
• Train the Trainer certificate
• Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate
• City and Guilds 7303/7302 - Award in Preparing to Teach in the lifelong Learning Sector or equivalent (preferred)
• Intermediate level of Excel / Power Point
• Good knowledge of health and safety requirements
• Experience of other soft services delivery would be an advantage - e.g., Cleaning, Security, Housekeeping.
