Based in Salalah, the Manager, Information Technology will be a key member of the management team and will report directly to the CFO.
The successful candidate will oversee the direction and activities of the Information Technology department whilst providing long term strategic focus and perspective in relation to organisational information technology needs. Utilising superior people management skills, the incumbent will lead a team of IT professionals in providing a suite of IT services and will undertake project management responsibility for executing, implementing and delivering key hardware and software related projects. It is expected the individual will be able to focus on and anticipate customer needs and have the capacity to engage/network confidently and competently with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Accountabilities
· Oversees and provides leadership and direction to the IT department in all operational activities.
· Undertakes ownership of high impact IT related projects from inception to implementation and leads project teams in achieving milestones and execution
· Recommends IT budget requirements, establish budget guidelines, and operate within the designated, approved budget.
· Interacts with vendors and external support organizations, to optimize quality support to maintain operational systems.
· Advises senior management on information systems and technology needs, explaining technical areas and providing the assistance and guidance necessary in order to make informed decisions.
· Seeks and maintains up-to-date information and knowledge in the information technology field so that management can be advised appropriately. Seek out best industry and APMT group practices to ensure continuous improvement in the IT area.
· Implements IT policies and procedures.
· Designs and implements new technologies to improve efficiency of operations and enhance User satisfaction
