Primary Objectives
- Check and verify cargo quantity, volumes and its arrival at TPP. Highlight and verify with customer should there be any discrepancy
- Arrange with warehouse operator for container to be truck into warehouse for un-stuffing purposes.
- Coordinate with customer for local cargo releasing
- Prepare costing sheet for billing purposes.
- Prepare weekly inventory and stocklist report.
- Close coordination and maintain good working relationship between customers and suppliers (eg. Damco offices, carrier, warehouse operators) so that cargo ship as planned.
- Work closely with staff to ensure work carries on smoothly in the absence of any team member.
- Motivate team to deliver service as promised
- Plan for succession plan within team
- Training and development plan for team
- Assisting in any assignment given to you from your manager from time to time
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain positive relationships with all Damco offices, and ensure that service offerings meet or exceed customer’s expectations
· Behave consistently and with Damco corporate values in all dealings with both internal and external customers
· Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements
· This position has the following financial authority:
o Assisting with contract negotiations as required
o Assisting with Budgets and Forecasts as required
o Negotiation with Suppliers and Service Providers as required
o Dealing with center on LCL hub development
o Regional exposure for related system and process refinement
Key Competencies
A minimum of 3 to 5 year’s detailed knowledge and experience within the transport and logistics industry
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English & B Malaysia)
· Highly developed analytical skills with specific reference to the Logistics field
· Strong Operational Experience / Understanding of the Logistics Industry
· Strong understanding of financial planning, accounting and reporting practices
· Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills
· Strong business acumen
· Goal & results oriented team player
· High Level of Computer Literacy
· Ideally experienced in Logistics Software Tools
· Adaptable in response to changes
· Good negotiator and presenter
