The MITAS programme is an intense 2-year training and working period for our future technical leaders, in which you will undergo three rotations of eight months. There are possibilities for rotating to other business units within the world-wide A.P. Moller-Maersk Group. In each period you will be affiliated to a new department and work with new tasks. The goal is that you gain a wide understanding of the process of oil and gas depletion, both on- and offshore, to enable you to choose the right direction of your future career.
MITAS Training
The programme combines learning on the job with technical courses and general skills development within the MITAS framework. Together with newly graduated from other MITAS-directions and business units you will participate in different courses such as:
• Presentation Technique
• Project Management
• Innovation and Change Management
• Negotiation Technique
• Financial and Commercial Understanding
• Multicultural Understanding
Start in an engineering position
As a MITAS participant it is possible to start in various engineering positions. You can work in our Production, Maintenance, Project or Engineering Departments within the following disciplines:
• Electrical engineering
• Chemical engineering
• Mechanical engineering
• Construction engineering
Qualifications
There are many job possibilities for engineers within Maersk Oil depending on your background and education. The right candidate has an ongoing technical-science education on B.Sc., M.Sc. or Ph.D. level. You have a strong technical focus and a strong drive. Further, you have a sharp mind and excellent communication skills in spoken and written English. Previous knowledge of the oil business is not a requirement.
