Successful candidates will have a financial background working with external clients, the interest and aptitude to learn RiskMetrics Group products and an ability to guide clients to better use those products. In addition, IRMs must be adaptable, able to lead cross-organization teams and able to represent RiskMetrics Group at all levels of management at clients. Performance is based on a combination of factors including successful pre-sales activity, a quarterly client outreach program, and account renewal rates. In the pre-sales role the IRM partners with the sales team, bringing industry and product expertise to initial client meetings. After a client has begun using RiskMetrics Group solutions, the IRM owns and manages the experience clients have with RiskMetrics Group, offering proactive support, expertise on forensic research and accounting solutions, and ideas to secure renewals and help grow client relationships. All positions are full-time and ideal for recent business school graduates. Job Requirements: Activities including but not limited to: understanding, synthesizing and promoting the research among an established institutional client base. Creating and maintaining client intelligence including investment philosophies, organizational styles, analytical needs and firm structures. Driving the process of deepening and broadening relationships with Portfolio Managers and Analysts within client firms to maximize usage and subscription renewal. Close integration with RMG research analysts in the Accounting, Legal/Regulatory, and Mergers & Acquisitions areas. Developing coverage plans to increase analysts’ profile with client base, monitoring usage and relationship health. Serving as subject matter expert in RMG Research & Analysis offerings while identifying potential sales opportunities and participating heavily in the pre-sales process with RMG’s global Sales team. Preferred Experience:
3-5+ years in client facing sales or account management related discipline, preferably in the financial services or legal sectors. Bachelors, MBA or Masters Degree preferred Knowledge of accounting, financial markets, and analytical research preferred (CFA, CPA, JD, MBA, or Undergraduate degree in Accounting a plus) Strong organizational and management skills Superior written and phone communication skills Ability to work well in an entrepreneurial, team oriented environment Absolute personal and business integrity Some travel and additional training commitment may be required
