Responsible for developing current and future engineering designs. Responsible for integrating product design, performance, and manufacturing through the use of CAD, CAE, and the test to meet product requirements. Maintains daily contact with engineering functions as programs are developed finalized and put into production. Make decisions within the limits of general practices and standards with some direct guidance from supervisor.
Basic Preferred
- One or more years of experience developing microprocessor-based, real-time control algorithms and software in high level (C) language
- Automotive control system experience for production programs
- Familiarity with controls modeling and code generation tools
- Familiarity with Model, Software, and Hardware-in-the-Loop test methods
- Understanding of vehicle electrical architectures
- Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical/electrical mechanisms
- Exhibits appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals
- Knowledge of engineering software and systems as it pertains to job-related area
