Senior Safety Managers / Safety Managers  [01/04/2010]


 


Our Zero Harm programme joins us with partners from all around the world to work together to deliver our safety objectives.
We are seeking to strengthen our team with a number of Safety Managers / Senior Safety Advisors who share our vision and have the drive and ambition to support our operational teams in working towards and delivering this goal.
In addition to the usual skills and experience, we are looking for independent thinking, self-motivated individuals who are able to make a direct and dynamic contribution to removing the possibility of accidents from our sites.
We are looking for people capable of leading and mentoring subordinates and working with and supporting colleagues within our management teams to ensure we meet our goal.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and monitor implementation of the Safety Plan;
  • Ensure the effective delivery of H&S service and the safety performance in accordance with Company objectives;
  • Review safety performance regularly, identify areas in need of improvement, develop and implement appropriate action;
  • Attend Site Safety and Environmental Management Committee Meetings, and Independent Safety Audits;
  • Carry out internal safety audits for the Safety Plan and prepare action plan.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Civil/Building Engineering or Environmental and Occupational Safety & Health;
  • A member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent;
  • Registered Safety Officer & Safety Auditor a must;
  • At least 10 years' safety experience in various industries, in particular construction, manufacturing & Petrochemistry;
  • Experience in risk assessment and safety audit;
  • Strong sense of safety awareness;
  • Strong understanding and experience of construction processes;
  • Good leadership and communication skills;
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese.
