£17,161 - £19,126 p.a. (pro rata)

The purpose of the posts are to work in partnership with a group of local schools to increase levels of

participation through the delivery of responsive and needs led provision for children, young people and

families in the local area. The posts will deliver a range of positive activities and may have a specialism

in sport, youth, music, play or arts.

The posts will involve delivering within a range of school and community settings and have an emphasis

on collaborative local working. The posts include working evenings and weekends.

1. To be responsible to an Integrated Youth Officer to co-ordinate the planning, organisation,

delivery and monitoring of activities for children, young people and families.

2. To develop activities that include study support, sports, arts, cultural activities, play, personal

development, recreational and diversionary activity in partnership with schools within an identified

Extended Services cluster.

3. To develop opportunities for parents and pupils to participate in activities both independently and

together.

4. To offer Extended Service activities during the school day, before and after school, at weekends

and in holiday periods.

5. To link with appropriate practitioners within the locality to develop community and school based

activities.

6. To attend relevant partnership meetings.

7. To plan and facilitate relevant training programmes.

8. To manage any equipment related to this area of work.

9. To market and publicise all activities in line with the corporate branding policy and protocol.

10. To co-ordinate and supervise staff employed on a part-time, casual or voluntary basis.

11. To actively support the development of volunteers.

12. To build on existing programmes.

13. To assist in the creation of pathways for further activity.

14. To report to and regularly attend the appropriate Extended Services cluster group(s)
