COMMUNICATION –
  1. Set appropriate agendas for subject meetings – publish brief minutes and points of action for department staff, faculty & SLT
  2. Take an active role within the arts team – promoting the work of Art department both in terms of curricular and extra-curricular and activities
  3. To prepare evaluations and reviews of the departments work in line with school procedures
  4. Ensure that all departmental policies are reviewed and updated in line with school policies
  5. In line with school policy and procedures – to set clear targets for all pupils within the department at each key stage.  Ensure that pupils progress is monitored and intervention strategies put in place to address under performance
  6. To communicate with other staff and parents as appropriate regarding information about pupils’ work, progress, behaviour and attendance
  7. RESOURCES/ENVIRONMENT –

    1. To be responsible for the cataloguing, maintenance, storing and accessibility of all learning materials and equipment within the department
    2. To ensure that all equipment is checked and maintained and meets all Health & Safety requirements
    3. Ensure that H&S regulations are followed in all areas of the department and in an activity undertaken off the school site
    4. To be responsible for maintaining a visually stimulating environment within the departmental area and the wider school environment
