To be accountable for significant and specified responsibility focussed on teaching and learning, above that
which is required of all classroom teachers but which requires a teacher’s professional skills and
judgement.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Member of the Leadership Team
• Teaching and Learning Team Leader in English. Leader of the Key stage 1 curriculum andadministrator of Y2 SATs .
Membership of Leadership Team
• To take part in regular meetings with other senior leaders on whole school issues.
• To contribute to the SDP on whole school issues such as staffing, resources and curriculum andmonitor its implementation.
• To support the vision, ethos and policies of the school and promote high levels of achievement.
• To support the creation and implementation of the school development plan, especially as it relatesto their Teaching and Learning Team leadership role and to take responsibility for appropriately
delegated aspects of it.
• To support the evaluation of the effectiveness of the school’s policies and developments andanalyse their impact on raising standards.
• Help to support the continual professional development needs of other colleagues.
• To lead key stage meetings on a regular basis
