As a Driver Manager you will have overall responsibility for the management of the driver operation. Building a customer focused and performance culture where ‘right first time, every time’ becomes second nature. You’ll manage the smooth and efficient operation of the driver train plan, manage the performance of your driver team, ensure the service delivery and resource planning and meet your financial targets whilst delivering a safe operational railway.
Through an open, approachable, communicative, collaborative and customer focused leadership style, you’ll raise standards, ensuring that Instructors and drivers have the development support they need in order to reach their full potential.
You will need to have sound knowledge and previous experience of train driving and train systems coupled with strong leadership and exceptional interpersonal skills. Commercial acumen and the ability to negotiate with local level staff representatives are also essential
Fundamental to achieving success will be your management style and an instinctive knowledge of how to get the best from your team.
