Stagecoach Yorkshire provides a service to 45 million customers a year by operating around 400 buses across South Yorkshire and Derbyshire along with parts of West Yorkshire.

The business is very busy one and we are successfully increasing the number of people travelling with us following extensive network reviews and many other improvements. There is excellent potential to do much more.

As Marketing Manager you would be based at the Company’s Head Office in Barnsley. This role reports to the Commercial Director and has 1 direct report.  Core tasks would be to help to continue to achieve organic passenger growth and improved profitability through coherent marketing strategies. You would be responsible for shaping the marketing communications strategy and management of the implementation process including production of publicity material, customer focused campaigns, maintaining the Company web site, ensuring effective PR activity, managing the marketing budget and liaising with colleagues across the business.

The successful candidate will need previous marketing experience, but not necessarily within a transport environment, excellent communications skills and the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of contacts.  Commitment, enthusiasm and flexibility are also prerequisites.  You will need to demonstrate your ability to apply creativity and innovative thinking which reflects a true understanding of the practicalities of the public transport sector. An excellent salary plus performance related bonus is available. Assistance with relocation, where appropriate, will be considered.
