Test Specialist/ Associate Test Manager - Trivandrum  [22/03/2010]


 


A key role within ACIS SD which involves managing one or more testing assignments, indiviudals and delivering on testing engagements to the UK business divisions

Main Duties 

Hands on leader, Responsible for managing the team and deliver all requisites on day to day basis.
- Establish a relationship with the customer contacts such that regular input is obtained on business requirements
- Work with colleagues in IT Department to ensure good communication and co-operation between all related projects and systems so that organisational assetts are used and improved.
- Participate and lead in test process improvements, bring in global best practices into the Testing process
- Responsible for running testing assignments at CMMI Level 5 maturity
- Assist staff in their professional and personal development.
- Effectively manage allocated projects and teams, in partnership with business, scheduling, monitoring and implementing to agreed target dates
- Responsible for proactively escalating Project Issues and Risks to the Senior Management and Customer
- Ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with corporate standards
- Ensure that the team us kept motivated and establish good working relationship with team and colleagues in the testing division and across workstreams
- Ensure adequate reporting within the team

Skills 
Strong Testing fundamentals
Strong experience is Estimation, Test Planning, Execution and Scheduling using MS Project.
Must have had solid client facing experience (at least 3 years)
Good Domain knowledge and/ or experience - preferably General Insurance UK Retail
Experienced in tools such as Mercury Quality Centre/ Test Director
Knowledge of, and ability to apply global best practices in Software Testing
Knowledge of, and ability to apply Testing standards in all phases of the testing lifecycle

Experience 
2 years of Test Leadership and Management experience with a total experience in the range of 8-10 years.
- Must have managed a team of at least 10 to 20 people
- Must demonstrate client facing experience and effectiveness
- Must have worked in sizeable Testing engagements preferably in the BFSI (Banking/Financial Services/Insurance) domain. Experience in Insurance Application Testing/ experience in Insurance industry will be an advantage.
