The successful candidate in this role will be required to provide day to day support to the Motor Assessing Manager; ensuring assessing services are delivered in a manner that contains claims expense, whilst ensuring quality of repairs and customer service.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to support the Assessing Manager in maintaining or reducing the average cost of motor vehicle repairs, whilst balancing the needs of all customers and other stakeholders.
Also, whilst the role will not have any direct reports, this person will be required to provide direction and support to 7 motor assessors and other administrative staff.
The key skills and responsibilities are as follows:-
- To demonstrate initiative and organisation
- Posses personal drive
- To be confident with respect to their technical knowledge
- To be a good communicator, both verbal and written
- Current trade qualification within the motor vehicle repair industry
- Competent understanding of motor vehicle assessing principles
- Competent and proven computer skills
- Developed negotiation skills
