The borough of Bromley, located in outer South London, is the largest in area of all the London boroughs. The Council’s Transportation Planning Division is a lively place to work, and we have picked up quite a few awards along the way.

The workload reflects the borough’s varied geography, which ranges from dense Victorian streets through suburban residential development to green rural spaces. Bromley Town Centre draws shoppers and others from a wide catchment area, and we have ambitious plans to deliver a major town centre expansion over the next 15 years.

The Transport Strategy team is responsible for policy development, securing external funding for the Council’s varied programme of schemes, promoting improvements to public transport and in town centres, and for external relations on transport issues.

We are looking for talented and enthusiastic professionals who want to develop their careers by taking responsibility for developing policy approaches and managing projects. You will need to be a good communicator and have excellent numerical skills.
