Applications are invited to work as part of the Executive Team providing administrative and secretarial support. The person appointed will report to the PA to Director and liaise frequently with Research Innovation Services staff not based at the King’s Meadow Campus. The successful candidate will provide direct secretarial support to the Deputy Director Systems and Planning, actively maintaining diaries, arranging meetings and assisting with organising events. They will also deal with telephone and general enquiries. Candidates ideally should possess a good standard of education to GCSE level, which should include English and mathematics at Grade C or above. They should also have a good standard of typing and IT skills which include word processing (Microsoft Word). Experience using Microsoft Access, Excel, Email and the Internet will be an advantage. Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. Candidates should also have significant experience of clerical/administrative duties, preferably within Higher Education. They will require aptitude and commitment to carry out this role, and have the ability to respond proactively to issues and queries. A flexible approach and ability to adapt to change is required.
