This post will be offered in the first instance on a fixed-term contract with the University of Nottingham in Malaysia for a period of three years. Applications are invited for the above post in the newly-created School of Economics at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus from established scholars in the field of economics. The Director of Studies will initially manage a team of three staff (with further appointments planned) and will be responsible for the implementation of the new undergraduate programme. They will also be responsible for the introduction of jointly-supervised PhD programmes and for implementation of any further undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Candidates should be educated to doctoral level. A good research publication record is essential, as is some experience of administration or management in higher education. Appointment at full professor level will be considered for a particularly well qualified candidate.
