The aim will be to equip the Trainee with an appreciation of the Company’s overall business and an in-depth knowledge of a specific function within that business. Thereafter, and subject to the Trainee’s performance and a suitable vacancy, it will also be the intention to employ the Trainee in an appropriate permanent position The Trainee will spend the first six months in theDevelopment, Technical, Production, Sales, Legal and Accounts departments by turns in order to gain a broad view of the Company’s business and to become familiar with its terminology.
The following twelve months will be spent as two six-month periods continuously each in either the Technical or Development departments according to the wishes of the Trainee.
At the expiry of eighteen months, the Trainee’s progress will be reviewed at an interview with the Company’s Training Committee, which will determine the suitability of the Trainee for further training, subject to examination results. Where appropriate, progress after this interview will be monitored monthly for three months and a final decision made at the completion of twenty-one months.
Following and subject to the interview at eighteen months, the Trainee will spend the next thirty months in either the Technical or Development departments according to the wishes of the Trainee and so as to establish an identifiable career path. During this period the Trainee shall spend three continuous months on site studying all aspects of production activity with particular reference to production programming and administration.
