Pricing Actuary - Salisbury [16/03/2010]

This is an exciting new role created in the Actuarial Pricing team within International Marketing to help deliver the ‘Build International’ plans.

The role-holder will be responsible for overseeing the pricing of all new Savings and Investment products in the International range and ensuring existing Savings and Investments products continue to contribute as expected to International’s financial performance. In addition they will also be involved in the pricing of Protection products as required.

This role has the potential for management experience in the future.

Highly Numerate: able to understand, evaluate and interpret financial and statistical data.

Commercial and Business Acumen.

Strong PROPHET and Excel skills.

Strong communication skills: both oral and written being able to communicate to people at all levels in the company.

Good interpersonal skills in order to work closely with colleagues both within Friends Provident International and outside and forge good links with our customers.

Good organisation and planning skills.

Analytical and creative skills to aid problem solving and decision-making.

Must have significant experience in actuarial related jobs, preferably in the life insurance industry and including some time in a pricing/product development capacity.

Must be FIA/FFA or very nearly qualified.
