The purpose of this role is to deliver creative solutions for customers across a broad range of design and artwork requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering design solutions that are appropriate to the needs of internal partners and to agreed service standards. They will deliver work that is at the creative heart of the company brand, exemplifying the unique benefits of an in-house design team with an ambition for brand and service excellence. You will provide a consistently good quality of service internal partners. You will work collaboratively with third party design and print resources and will be responsible for developing, maintaining and articulating your own insightful knowledge of the company brand. Good planning and organisational skills.Ideally educated to A-level standard. Relevant art or design qualifications essential. Proven experience of typesetting and graphic design essential. Excellent practical and theoretical knowledge of design and typesetting, and of all the supporting hardware and software. Comprehensive working knowledge of PC systems and of Filemaker software. Excellent working knowledge of design, artwork and reprographics, and in the use of software including InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat and Illustrator (CS3 Suite) and QuarkXPress to assist and learn in preparing artwork for colour separation. Knowledge of online software, systems and production – such as Fireworks, Flash, Dreamweaver, HTML code. Good working knowledge preferred of the financial services industry, its opportunities and constraints, and of the media in which it operates. Comprehensive knowledge of the commercial printing industry.
