COMPLEXITY:
• Need to influence GSK LOC Senior Management on CoE tactics and strategy through Market Research
• Liaise with Marketing, Medical, Market Research & Sales to deliver a Respiratory CoE Market Research Plan which not only supports & monitors the impact of our Pan-European campaigns, but also has a positive effect eventual outcome
• Lead European market research activities within the Commercial Analysis Network ( top6 representatives, plus Central, Northern and Southern/Eastern Europe ) to drive an improvement in current European Respiratory Performance by developing and implementing studies that generate useful findings and recommendations at country as well as pan-European level
• In depth understanding of the Global Respiratory Portfolio Review and Disease Strategy process to be able to review, influence and represent the European perspective
ACCOUNTABILITY:
• Broad role which covers both the short term (performance monitoring market research) and medium term (insight generation market research) in terms of influencing the Respiratory Performance in Europe
• Indirect accountability for management of the Commercial Analysis Network to deliver the European Market Research Plan
• Responsible for £1.5M Market Research Budget so need to evaluate & negotiate with External Agency Senior Management to ensure the CoE gets value for money
• European Respiratory market analysis and insight generation, providing input into CoE strategy & tactics based on analysis of:
 Primary research
• Monitoring of key product and market trends through market research (e.g., campaign tracking)
• Development and delivery of 1 year MR plan within budget to support Seretide Asthma and COPD Brand through:
 Development of research design to optimize outputs and business impact at country as well as pan-European level
 Selection and management of best agencies
 Efficient and effective management of European fieldwork
 Analysis of results and driving implementation of resulting recommendations at CoE and LOC level
 Management of all European stakeholders
• Lead European LOC Commercial Analysis Network to deliver market research above plan
• Development and implementation of European best-practice market research models as member of European Commercial Analysis team
Basic qualifications:

• Proven experience in planning, designing and managing market research activities
• Extensive experience and thorough understanding of market research techniques and approaches to uncover insights and answer key business questions
• Excellent project and time management abilities
• Needs to input to, understand and influence the CoE Asthma and COPD marketing strategy to be able to confidently support CoE colleagues, as well as the LOCs, and actively challenge LOC senior management where appropriate
• Credible in European environment, across a range of functions, seniority, and geographical locations
