- Deliver the production plan for the period
- Record, monitor and report on performance and promptly address areas of poor performance and non compliance
- Liaise with master production scheduler, engineering and OQ support to ensure prompt attention regarding planning issues, equipment issues/breakdowns and quality issues/incidents
- Manage the selection and development of staff in the area to maximise their contributions to the achievement of company objectives
- Ensure T&A administered correctly by Team Leaders
- Liaise with training to ensure reporting staff are trained to the appropriate levels. Up and multiskill operators as required
- Facilitate and participate in continuous improvement (line & process) across the product stream to eliminate waste, reduce rework, increase yield and efficiency
- Be an influential and proactive member of the Steriles leadership team
- Prepare and manage budgets for labour management etc within the product stream
- Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times in the area
- Manage reporting Team Leads inaccordance with all of the above
- Ensure that the company's policies and procedures are adhered to within the Department and that all work is performed in a safe and responsible manner and is supported by the ongoing safety awareness program
- Provide management of the GMS Boronia site during operating periods out of normal working hours where required. Be accountable for the performance of the product stream across the entire working week
Basic qualifications:
- Lean Sigma trained or excellent track record of successful application
Extensive production management experience in a results driven manufacturing organisation
- Experience in working with a unionised environemnt
- Experience in high quality manufacturing
Preferred qualifications:
- Graduate in engineering or science related discipline
- Experience in clean or aseptic processing
