Reliability Coordination Manager - Cologne [10/03/2010] |
|
- Assist the reliability team in maintaining planned operational availability of assets at a very high level (>98%)
- Support mid- and long-term plans to further increase site reliability in a sustainable way
- Lead the continuous improvement of reliability management processes such as “Bad Actor Identification and Elimination” and “Mitigate Threats to Availability Process”
- Advice the reliability discipline team leads on the assessments of bad actors
- Employ statistical methods such as WEIBULL analysis to analyze and improve reliability performance
- Ensure the improvement and sustainability of our asset management business processes and tools
- Drive the implementation of the High Reliability Organization approach in Rhineland refinery
- Take part in cross-site reliability initiatives and projects
With a graduate degree in mechanical or process engineering or a similar discipline, you will have several years of professional experience in reliability, maintenance and/or project management. Ideally you have already worked in a refinery or petrochemical environment. Furthermore, we’ll expect you to have a basic understanding of all engineering disciplines involved at a manufacturing site in order to be able to liaise and communicate with these disciplines. Our refinery environment is highly focused on teams working across all functions within the department, with contractors and the site production unit staff. Good interpersonal skills are essential, as you’ll play a key role at the interface between production units and engineers. German language skills are mandatory for this position. In addition, we’ll also expect you to be able to speak English in order to communicate effectively with colleagues and contractors.
