Field Based Account Manager  [10/03/2010]


 


Responsibilities:
You’ll maintain and develop existing customer relationships, and identify and win new business using face-to-face selling and negotiating skills to increase volumes and margins.
You’ll achieve competitive advantage through the application of a sound understanding of the market and external environments in all business activities.
You’ll be responsible for locally managing and developing national account delivery points on territory in conjunction with the Key Account Managers.
You’ll actively seek and follow up opportunities to increase the value for existing customers through cross-selling and up-selling, whilst also prospecting for new business within your territory, including target regional motor groups and specific original equipment manufacturers.

You’ll spend on average four days per week on the road and one at your home office.

 

As an experienced business-to-business (B2B) sales professional, you’ll have a successful track record of retaining and developing existing accounts, and attracting new business.
Your excellent interpersonal skills, strong commercial instinct and customer orientation mean you’re able to manage high level interfaces and relationships.
Experience in the automotive industry would be an advantage.
You must be fluent in written and spoken English, and hold a valid UK driver’s licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
