We wish to appoint two experienced practitioners to join the consultant team that supports schools across West Sussex. The posts are concerned with raising standards and improving pupil progress in mathematics across the age range 0-19. The role will include working with teachers, headteachers, governors and parents to help all schools and settings raise standards and enhance the quality of teaching and learning in mathematics and in subjects and aspects across the curriculum as appropriate.
The successful candidates will:
· Have substantial recent experience of teaching;
· Be excellent classroom practitioners with a sound understanding of pedagogy;
· Have excellent mathematical subject knowledge;
· Have experience of leadership;
· Have had impact on improving provision for learners across their school;
· Have the potential to work with a wide range of people, leading training and providing consultancy.
