The position is based in UK Stockley Park (West of London)

Key requirements:

• In depth Knowledge of China Market Access environment
• Experience of building access Strategy for pipeline oncology products in China
•  including an in-depth understanding of the regulatory and payor environment;
•Strong networking skills and an existing base of contacts in China.

• We are seeking strong market expertise of Oncology product pricing issues or proven experience in other relevant premium value biological sector e.g. TNF biological or possibly biological gene based therapy products

•Tactical application of HO/R&A research and information at the therapy or product level in oncology preferred, including experience with marketed and pipeline products;
•Project management expertise;

Specialised Knowledge:

• Strong Health Outcomes background, including understanding of Health Technology Assessment and economic modeling;
• Leadership and networking skills to develop and maintain internal and external relationships across China, Emerging Markets and R&D;
• Ability to operate in an unstructured environment;
• Intuitive understanding of the payor perspective and how to build successful reimbursement strategies;
• In-depth understanding of the data sets and analyses required by payors;
•Experienced in the environmental challenges evolving in the global market.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:  

• Ensure that late stage oncology assets have a China strategy that incorporates the evidence generation plan needed to support Reimbursement & Market Access in this market;
• Ensure that the China Brand Vision and positioning of oncology assets integrates payor insights;
• Explore innovative integrated pricing and market access strategies that take into account price-volume relationships in different patient/payor segments;
• Build strong value propositions that are customized to meet the needs of Market Access customers in China;
• Work closely with Oncology Center Of Excellence (COE) and China Local Operating Company (LOC) to ensure that there is an integrated tactical plan that is flawlessly executed to achieve reimbursement of oncology assets;
• Ensure that the necessary Health Outcomes tools (models, dossiers etc.) are tailored to China’s needs and available to the China LOC in a timely fashion;
• Assist LOC during local reimbursement discussions by providing product and technical expertise;
• Explore how the EU/AP Market Access work can be leveraged to meet the needs of China;
• Assist the LOC in developing and maintaining local Health Economics and Outcomes capability and expertise.

China is a key area of focus for GSK and therefore the role has high visibility. It also has a high degree of independence and therefore requires self sufficiency and a proactive self starter mentality.
