The Academic Division of Respiratory Medicine at The University of Nottingham has been awarded a prestigious Integrated Academic Training Lectureship Programme in Respiratory Medicine, and invites applications for the above post to start in 2010. The Nottingham Programme provides an exciting postdoctoral, career development and training opportunity for an interested candidate seeking to develop their career in academic respiratory medicine. Candidates must hold the MRCP or equivalent and have, or be working towards, a higher degree (MD, PhD or equivalent). Salary for this post will be within the range £30,685 - £53,132 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The successful candidates will undertake 50% of WTE academic work within the Academic Division of Respiratory Medicine. Nottingham was recently awarded a £6m NIHR Respiratory Biomedical Research Unit which provides a number of exciting new research opportunities. It is a condition of these posts that satisfactory enhanced disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau. The Postgraduate Dean confirms that this placement/programme has the required educational and Dean's approval. All training programmes are equally open to those who may, either from the outset or subsequently, wish to train part-time (flexible training), if eligible, or job share.
