Brief Description
Working in the OFT’s marketing team, you’ll be part of a team of 30 communications specialists focussing on consumer protection/competition issues. You’ll be leading our consumer rights communications; taking the lead in developing our use of social media and managing our digital agency; and ensuring the successful transfer of all our consumer information to the cross-Government Directgov web platform.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you’ll already have built a successful career in marketing management with demonstrable experience in developing and delivering communications strategies; and sourcing creative and other external suppliers in a cost effective manner. Creative writing skills, particularly web writing, would be a bonus.
You need to be a dynamic, results-oriented external communications specialist; enthusiastic, confident, and a self starter who thrives in a team environment and enjoys the challenge of management and marketing, communicating directly with our audiences and comfortable dealing with people at all levels.
You’re also an excellent project manager able to run several projects simultaneously and work effectively with suppliers; have confidence to present to external audiences and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
