Brief Description
• To support the Commission’s mission of increasing public trust and confidence in charities by supporting charities to maximise their effectiveness and accountability to the public.
• To manage the Taunton Specialist Casework teams and all other resources (including own and staff time) to deliver the Commission’s mission as an enabling regulator
• To support the Head of Division with the leadership of the Division.
Vacancy description
1. To ensure the effective delivery of the Taunton teams (Mainstream, Mergers and AFSET (Armed Forces, Schools and Education Team) to deliver the agreed performance measures and achieve continuing improving services for the customer.
2. To manage 7 PB5s and 1 PB3, dealing effectively with people management issues and ensuring that staff are properly trained.
3. To lead or participate in projects and work strands as required by the Head of Division, including Directorate and Commission-wide initiatives. This will include work to modernise procedures and practices.
4. To ensure the integrity of the divisional statistics, analysing data and carrying out regular audits of the Commission systems used by the Division.
5. To ensure that the Charity Services risk and proportionality framework is introduced in SCW and effectively applied to the work.
6. To promote good quality services to the customer by carrying out month quality reviews of cases, ensuring standards are robustly applied and providing feedback to individuals.
7. To manage good relationships with the Liverpool SCW team to ensure there is a joined up and consistent approach in SCW.
8. To deputise for the Head of Division at internal and external meetings when he is unavailable.CRB check required - Yes
