Job Description

FUNCTION

Support the Supply Chain & Data Management Unit and its staff in the data entry of Flow of Goods transaction reports

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data entry of flow of goods reports
  • Customer help desk

TASKS

  • Collection, reception and storage of Fairtrade transaction data online or in excel sheets
  • Data entry of transactions or upload of reports in the online reporting system
  • Monitoring and data quality of transaction data in the data base
  • Advice customers on reporting and follow up on reporting status
  • Elaboration of customer data reports using a business intelligence application
  • Assist improving internal reporting control processes
  • Project related tasks

  • Supply Chain & Data Management Senior Analyst
Your Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary:

  • Bachelor degree in an IT related discipline, statistics or business (preferably with specialization in supply chain) or any equivalent and commercial related qualification or apprenticeship.
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge and knowledge of excel macros
  • Excellent command of MS Office Suite and affinity to IT related processes
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of French oral and written
  • Detailed oriented, logical thinking and comfortable working with numbers
  • A reliable, pro-active and stress resistant team player
  • Excellent communication skills, team player, flexible in dealing with different cultures and self initiative to solve problems
  • Motivation for Fairtrade

Advantageous

§           Knowledge of databases

§           Experience in customer service

§           Knowledge of Spanish

Company Description:
The concept of ‘fair trade’ has been around for over 40 years according to FINE but a formal labelling scheme didn’t get off the ground until the late 1980s. 1988: launch of the first Fairtrade label, Max Havelaar, under the initiative of the Dutch development agency Solidaridad. The first ‘Fairtrade’ coffee from Mexico was sold into Dutch supermarkets. It was branded "Max Havelaar," after a fictional Dutch character who opposed the exploitation of coffee pickers in Dutch colonies.
