INJURY INTELLIGENCE OFFICER / RESEARCH ASSISTANT  [22/02/2010]


 


Based in the Centre for Public Health (Faculty of Health & Applied Social Sciences), this post is concerned with the development of the Centre’s work on Injury Surveillance across the North West.

You will be responsible for producing routine reports using data collected through the Trauma and Injury Intelligence Group (TIIG) Injury Surveillance System (e.g. accident and emergency department [AED] data) and working with data providers to enhance their injury data collection systems, under the mentorship of the TIIG project lead.

 Furthermore, you will assist in conducting a range of research and development projects on injury and violence, which will involve conducting literature reviews, collating and analysing quantitative and qualitative public health data, interrogating internal and external data/information sources, conducting original research projects, and writing reports.
