Ensure the availability, integrity, identification, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation of friendly information and information systems while denying the adversaries access to the same information and information systems. Major Job Responsibilities: • Provide technical and operational support to protect systems under the responsibility of the TNOSC against unauthorized access and inadvertent damage or modification. • Provide 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week on-site matrix support to the AOR. • Forward information regarding suspicious activities to appropriate agencies; develop triage policies and procedures to evaluate suspicious activity; perform blocking of Internet protocol (IP) networks; monitor, operate, and maintain network and host-based Intrusion Detection System (IDS) sensors; and provide host-based security management service. • Oversee server-based security, and ensure security and accreditation requirements are met and maintained for customer connections. • Have network security administration responsibility; install, operate, and maintain security management software; and generate reports and update trouble tickets. • Install and maintain all pertinent software/hardware for server/sensor functionality. • Daily maintenance of over 70 servers spread out over 5 countries. • In coordination with the Technology Evaluation and Integration Team, test and evaluate tools and techniques to facilitate recognition of potential security problems, and conduct evaluation of security events. • Manage and enforce IA in accordance with AR 25-2. • Enforce Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) compliance and reporting, and assist and coordinate with intelligence and judicial agencies. • Acquire, evaluate, and ensure availability of IA tools and methods to support secure system development, integration and war fighter operations. • Provide tools, services and collaborative work environment to support Certification, compliance validation, connection approval process, and development of countermeasures and assessment strategies for newly discovered vulnerabilities. Security certification desired. Security Clearance: Secret Required Experience: Requires a minimum of 3 plus years of networking, routing. Must have some experience with Information Assurance, IAVA compliance, physical and network security. Knowledge of all current Microsoft operating systems. Must be able to troubleshoot all equipment with little to no supervision. Be able to work long un-supervised hours. Able to address a group of people with clear concise answers and good verbal skills Desired Skills: High school diploma required or equivalent.
