J P Kenny are currently looking for a Onshore Pipeline Engineering Manager to be based in Norway. The Onshore Pipeline Engineering Manager is responsible for the establishment and running of an onshore pipelines design department with a multi-disciplinary oil and gas design consultancy working on Feasibility Studies, Front End Design, and Detailed Design projects. Acts as Technical Authority on all onshore pipeline matters.
Duties Include:
Staff Responsibilities:
" Responsible for all onshore business
" Assign work to pipelines staff
" Monitor staff performance and act as required to make improvements
" Identify needs for pipelines staff recruitment
" Assist in pipelines staff recruitment
" Approve leave requests for pipelines staff
" Conduct annual staff appraisals
" Approve training for pipelines staff
" Mentor and develop pipelines staff
" Liaise with Senior Vice President - EAME for business leads
Technical Responsibilities:
" Technical Authority for all pipeline matters
" Approval of all pipelines deliverables
" Technical advisor to all projects on pipeline issues as requested by the project manager
" Attend Design Reviews and HAZOPs as required to provide technical support on pipeline matters
" Liaison with other discipline heads
" Management reports on performance and progress of pipelines discipline as required
" Participate in business development initiatives as required
" Maintain familiarity with developing pipeline technologies
" Maintain familiarity with leading International pipeline codes and standards
" All other reasonable requests from line manager
Candidates must possess:
" Oil and gas pipeline design experience of which the last 5 years at Department Head or Principal
Engineer level
" Demonstrable man-management skills and communication skills
" Thorough knowledge on current international codes and standards (knowledge of client company
standards would be an advantage)
" Experience of producing and reviewing all pipeline design and construction deliverables
" Commissioning, Inspection, Maintenance, and Operations experience would be an advantage
