This is a strategic role, at Principal or Associate level. It will provide additional capacity to lead and deliver our very wide range of current overseas projects particularly in Asia and the Middle East, working with both internal colleagues and external clients. Products and services include SEA, SA, plan and policy development and Environmental Assessment. It will also further raise our profile and acknowledged expertise in the sector and develop new clients and services. You will have a background in environment and sustainability, ideally with an established reputation in your field of expertise and will have undertaken a large number of relevant projects in the Middle East or Asia. Your role will be to contribute to the strategic growth of the Sustainability team, providing leadership in project delivery, client care, business development, profile-raising and mentoring of junior staff. This is a permanent position subject to an initial three month probationary period. The post will be based from our London or Epsom office but you will be expected to work overseas for up to 75% or your time.
You will have extensive post-graduate experience in SA/SEA and/or the delivery of Sustainability advice for a wide range of projects. A Masters level qualification in a relevant field would be beneficial and ideally, you will be a full member of a relevant professional institute. It is essential that you have substantial overseas experience in the Middle East or Asia. A high profile and good connections in the relevant sector is highly desirable. It is essential the individual has held a senior post in a commercial organisation or consultancy and has delivered a very wide range of projects and services across the Sustainability sphere. You will be expected to identify, develop and pursue new business and marketing opportunities in a range of sectors working with other members of the team. The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate the following - Substantial SA/SEA and EIA experience
