Chef, Partners' Dining Room [17/02/2010]
As a Chef at John Lewis, you'll produce dishes from an innovative menu, ensuring that hygiene and health and safety are given the highest priority. You'll have commercial sense, the flexibility to cope with the different demands of the kitchen and the willingness to try the untried as these will all be important. Successful candidates will also need to demonstrate an understanding of what excellent customer service looks like in all areas of a catering operation.
You will need to demonstrate experience of food production. You will ideally have an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Professional Cookery and a basic or intermediate Hygiene Certificate ( or equivalent).
