We have a key position opening for a full-time hands-on IT Operations Manager. The qualified professional will manage the Operations group within our Information Systems department and be responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the ITT VIS global IT infrastructure. This encompasses LAN and WAN networking, Unix and Windows server administration, virtualization and backup strategies, and desktop support. We need a dedicated team player to effectively manage IT operations resources in accordance with department goals and objectives. Key responsibilities include: acquisition and installation of equipment; assisting department heads in selection of appropriate systems; ensuring an effective backup and recovery strategy for all critical systems; remaining abreast of new developments and trends in IT; ensuring that all IT systems are compliant with company�s security, export control, SOA, and other regulations and policies. Required Minimum Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor�s degree in business or computer science; may have post-graduate education or training 7-10 years of Window/Unix administration and Cisco networking experience 3+ years of management or supervisory experience Excellent knowledge of industry standard IT practices and strategies Excellent management and leadership skills Excellent time management and decision making skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills Excellent organization and project management skills U.S. citizenship is required for this position
