Key Responsibilities:
* 1. Provide problem solving, analysis, training, coaching and leadership to plant and team safety resources related to safety & ergonomic improvements. (20%)
2. Self motivation to lead and or support problem solving and lean implementation in manufacturing processes, focusing on safety and ergonomic processes. (20%)
3. Lead in developing action plans and conducting follow-up audits to address relevant plant Safety issues and adherence to applicable policies and procedures, including improvement and compliance work. (15%)
4. Partner with all functional area management to develop, interpret, and monitor fair and consistent application of corporate and plant policies, processes, and procedures.(5%)
5. Counsel employees and management in solving problems that impact the safety of the workplace.(10%)
6. Promote overall employee satisfaction through effective communication, performance review processes, and recognition practices (10%)
7. Provide support to managers on right environment evaluations, including safety audits and ergonomic conditions.(5%)
8. Develop and implement safety training along with measures of effectiveness (10%)
9. Perform other duties as assigned by management. (5%)

4. Domestic: Locations within a country or neighboring countries with similar culture
Skills: Functional / Technical
1. BS Degree in Engineering or a related field with 3 to 5 years minimum professional experience in compliance with OSHA regulations is required.
2. Professional Certification preferred, CSP, OSHT or CPE
3. Six Sigma experience preferred and willing to become a Green Belt.
4. Preferred knowledge of Cummins Safety and Cummins Operating System
5. Knowledge & understanding of safety & environmental management systems (i.e. QSI)
6. Awareness of ISO 14001 and OHS 18001.
7. Solid working knowledge of hazard assessments, emergency response planning and the ability to develop & deliver effective training
8. Solid working knowledge of incident investigation processes and requirements
9. Solid working knowledge of principles of ergonomics in an industrial setting.

1. Business Process Understanding: Understands applicable processes & how they flow. Ability to map processes, look at an organization horizontally, analyze the elements of a process, see opportunities for integration, & improve performance for the customer.
2. Analysis: Gathers relevant information & identifies key issues/relationships from the elements evaluated. Ability to relate & compare data from different sources & to identify cause-effect relationships.
3. Managing Work: Establishes a logical course of action for self and/or others to accomplish specific goals. Ability to plan sequenced tasks & assignments with appropriate allocation of resources.
