- Under the general supervision of the Safety & Health Services Manager, this part-time position performs medical and physical examinations and health histories, treats injuries and illnesses, determines diagnoses, prescribes medications, orders laboratory tests and refers patients for specialized treatment; provides system-wide administration for medical surveillance programs, carries out medical case and rehabilitation management within National Grid's service territory. Respond to occasional after-hours urgent care cases by phone.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in advance practice. Master's degree and board certification preferred; experience in occupational health preferred.
- Must be a N.Y.S. Licensed Nurse Practitioner preferably in occupational health.
- Solid medical practice clinical skills including pharmacology, laboratory technology diagnosis and treatment modalities.
- Specific knowledge of Federal and New York State health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of Company policies and procedures.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills for determination of accurate medical treatment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
