Corporate Auditor [10/02/2010]

National Grid�s Corporate Audit Department is looking for a professional auditor who can contribute to the implementation and delivery of the corporate audit plan. The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional internal auditing work which involves conducting operational, financial or compliance audit projects.

Key Accountabilities:

Performs audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence and documenting processes and procedures;

Conducts interviews, reviews documents to properly plan and develop objectives and scope of audit

Identifies, develops and documents audit issues and recommendations using independent objective judgment

Communicates the results of audits and consulting projects via the established Corporate Audit practices and procedures

Develops and maintains effective client and staff relationships

Performs work assigned by audit management.

Flexibility of travel to client locations across the US and potential support of global audits which may require travel to UK.

Job Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering or related experience with knowledge of controls or assurance programs. Experience and knowledge in finance, accounting or operating processes.

Knowledge of key business areas
