Responsibilities
- Greeting and accommodating lodge guests
- Booking reservations based on lodge and guest requirements
- Effectively and efficiently check guests in and out of the lodge
- Assisting in the preparation of occupancy and board sheet reports
- Investigate and resolve complaints and claims from customers
- Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
- Keeps financial records and establishes, maintains and balances various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Posts journal entries and reconciles accounts, prepares trial balance of books, maintains general ledgers and prepares financial statements
- Calculates and prepares cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills
- Completes and submits tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents
- Prepares tax returns and performs other personal bookkeeping services
- Prepares other statistical, financial and accounting reports
Qualifications
- Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or related field or completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program (e.g., Certified Management Accountant, Certified General Accountant) or, courses in accounting or bookkeeping combined with several years of experience as a financial or accounting clerk are required
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Willingness to learn new systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability and desire to serve the public in a professional and friendly manner
- Intermediate or advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- Experience using Orissa Campware or similar camp management software system is preferred
