ANZ seeks its 'Head of Finance, Consumer & Private Banking' who has experience in running a line of business, is known for displaying high integrity and demonstrating initiative, autonomy and leadership. You will be primarily responsible for providing strategic financial insight and advice to allocated business unit in order to drive business efficiency and performance across the Consumer & Private Bank businesses. You will also be the key financial relationship point for other divisional and shared services teams and will be looked upon to provide commercially astute decision support for all business initiatives. Key responsibilities of this role include, driving business unit performance across the Consumer and Private Bank businesses, assisting with the assessment of business performance against profit and cost targets including business initiatives and maintaining resource allocation methodologies to ensure business effectiveness. You will also be responsible for embedding rigorous financial management strategies into all areas of the business, including implementing capital management strategy and capital execution plan for Business Units. Other responsibilities include internal risk assessment and governance, effective delivery and accuracy of reporting and MIS systems and assisting with talent development across the organisation. Highly numerate individuals with strong business acumen and excellent relationship building and negotiation skills are encouraged to apply. You must also possess good forward planning skills with the ability to understand the business. Prior experience in a professional service industry (eg banking or accounting) with strong business partnering background (not purely operational/transactional) stands you in good stead. Ideally, you will be armed with a relevant tertiary qualification (Banking/Finance). Strong analytical skills, preferably in business planning and analysis makes you an asset to the organisation, as will your effective people management, communication and influencing skills. A proven ability to drive change and to deliver results in a multi-cultural environment makes you the ideal candidate for this challenging role.
