This position will take on responsibilities pertaining to the establishment, implementation and on-going monitoring of the TSC sales activity & MIS, as well as the risk management disciplines within the TSC China team. The ideal incumbent will ensure that the business risks of TSC business are properly managed and management information is delivered on time in alignment with regional practices and within the TBSL APEA strategic objectives. To achieve this, you will need to have strong knowledge of trade operations with an awareness of the financial services industry and its environment in key Asian markets.
Key responsibilities include the design and implementation of MIS reporting capabilities, strategic analysis and initiatives management, risk management, business quality assurance and business support. Apart from assisting with the development of all strategic initiatives, you will be responsible for sourcing, analysing and interpreting quantitative information relevant to strategies and initiatives. Acting as the key contact person within TSC team with Operational Risk, Trade Operations, Credit Risk and etc in China, you will implement policy and process initiatives to appropriately manage risk and provide for the efficient processing of transactions. This role will also assist the Head of TSC China on all aspects of facility & portfolio management to support the prudent development of the business ensuring operation excellence with minimal risk exposure. Leveraging existing relationships and cultivating new BU relationships is another important aspect of this role.
Qualifications
To be considered for this challenging role, you must be experienced in relationship management and corporate banking esp. trade facility structuring. Ideally, you will have a minimum of 10 years banking experience preferably with an international bank in China in the trade and supply chain area. Strong analytical skills and good PowerPoint and Excel skills are vital. This includes a good understanding of MIS, Finance processes and procedures, a strong knowledge of databases, query extraction and data mining/data extraction and a familiarity with MS Excel functions, including Pivot Tables/Charts. This is complemented by an ability to think creatively with regards to data manipulation, presentation and use and strong problem solving capabilities.
Advanced communication and relationship building skills are essential. Understanding/affinity with Asian culture and language would be beneficial. Though not mandatory, a relevant tertiary qualification with experience in strategy/research, analytical disciplines is preferable.
