Responsibilities

• Closing of the Annual Statutory Accounts under German GAAP (HGB)
• Preparation of the monthly/quarterly/yearly reports of E.ON Energy Trading according to IFRS rules (incl. reporting within SAP-SEM)
• Update and maintenance of the General Ledger of E.ON Energy Trading at a high standard
• Participation in integration and accounting improvement projects
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal control system
• Contact for internal and external auditors as well as service providers
• Responsibility for the development and maintenance of MS Access Databases for accounting and reporting purposes

Qualifications

• Successfully completed business or economics degree with a focus on finance, accounting, auditing or an equivalent course of study
• Some years of related experience in a similar role and deep experience of monthly and year end closing
• Experience in German GAAP and IFRS, US-GAAP would be a plus
• Affinity to IT systems, preferably SAP-FI, SAP-SEM and Microsoft Office, expertise required in MS Access
• A very good command of German is essential as well as a good knowledge of English.
• Organizational, analytical and communication skills as well as a solution-oriented mindset
• High level of engagement, enjoy working in an international team
