General Job Function: Accountable for accurate and timely processing of the weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for PUMA North America, Inc. which includes corporate staff as well as wholesale and retail teams. Key Accountabilities - Record and transmit payroll files on a weekly basis
- Audit time records for hourly retail employees to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Process employee tax information, voluntary deductions and other fringe benefit payments
- Maintain data in the Payroll/HRIS, such as status changes, deductions and tax changes
- Review and reconcile tax filing documents
- Act as the liaison with Accounting, other internal departments and third party vendors to research problems and ensure processing is completed accurately and timely
- Accountable for producing necessary reports from the Payroll system and/or HRIS as needed
- Respond timely and professionally to internal customer inquiries regarding all payroll issues
- Calculate and process partial or retroactive pay as needed
- Assist with maintaining employee data in the HR employee database
Skills and Qualifications: - 3-5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll
- Experience working with Kronos and Ceridian systems highly desirable
- Understanding of multi state and local tax compliance required
- Strong interpersonal skills required
- Must be well organized with proven ability to manage multiple priorities
- Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office applications required
