Road and Rail Business Manager [02/02/2010]

Specific job purpose

To lead a team and develop the business the Met Office undertakes with external customers in the road and rail business area to generate agreed profitable revenue

To lead and develop a team to develop and maintain relationships and contracts with existing and new road and rail customers to generate agreed profitable revenue as specified in the annual operating plan.

Responsible for delivery and monitoring of profit and loss for the road and rail sectors and providing a monthly report

To develop key account strategies and build long-term relationships for existing and new road and rail customers to achieve revenue and profit as agreed with the Programme.

To ensure an appropriate pipeline of opportunities for future years

To identify opportunities for new products and services and liaise appropriately
