Accounting Specialist - Part time role Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Park Place, Hatch Street, Dublin 2 Overview: Bank of America’s activity in the European region is divided into 2 principal businesses: 1) Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB) includes Investment banking, capital Markets, global cash management, traded market products (including money market and derivatives trading), trade finance, leasing and financial advisory services 2) BAC Card Services (legacy MBNA) provides credit card services to approximately 6 million customers in Europe and maintains approximately 5000 affinity card relationships The Bank employs nearly 10,000 associates across 11 countries with offices in Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. Business Unit Overview: The Managed Treasury and Liquidity Group (MTLSG) are based in Ireland. They administer both IFSC registered companies and outsourced treasury projects for client companies. Typical activities include administration of daily cash and liquidity management, foreign exchange exposure management, intercompany loan portfolio administration, periodic netting cycles, foreign exchange hedging programmes, monthly management accounts, auditor liaison leading to statutory accounts preparation, and all related activities associated with the ongoing administration of client IFSC companies, and outsourced treasury activities. All of the day to day activities are handled by the treasury and accounting teams. The MTLSG are responsible for the treasury functions of over 45 global clients. The group consists of 39 associates located in Dublin. Job Purpose: Client Accounting Specialists provide the full range of accounting services to a portfolio of client treasury accounts. The MTLS group operates on a team-based structure including treasury and accounting teams The part time accountant would be required to work a three day week during the month apart from month end when they would be required to work a 5 day week (month end normally falls first week of each month).
