Overview Processes transactions in one or more of the company's internal operations to support domestic and international consumer, commercial and wholesale bank businesses or services functions. Responsibilities may include: basic level reporting, call center support, reviewing and processing transactions for item processing, sorting using electronic or mechanical equipment, reconciling, statement rendering, MICR/image, float, lock box, remittance, ATM deposit, and performing other support operations functions as required. Maintains internal operational and financial controls and ensures they meet bank standards. Ensures quality service and effective and efficient operations support for the assigned area's internal business partners and/or external customers/clients. Intermediate level position performs routine and various item processing functions under moderate supervision within a process that has built-in checks and balances. Decisions have some impact on internal and external customer relationship. Responsibilities
Support Payments Section in handling the local disbursements or any other payment transactions (non-trade related). Ensure appropriate documentation in place in accordance with Regulatory and bank’s internal policy. Processing payments – Electronic, Repair and Manual and Standing Orders. Co-ordinate well with Delhi/ Mumbai front-office processing team to ensure that the clients’ requirements are always met. Processing of incoming foreign and rupee remittances. Contributing towards department’s efforts in the areas of constant process improvement, improving productivity, enhancing STP (straight thru processing) Regulatory reporting as required by FEMA, CBDT, etc. Preparation of Internal and Customer related MIS as per the requirement. Direct interaction with clients for resolution of queries and follow-up on documentary exceptions. Maintaining and improving superior client service levels to support payment business. Requirements
QUalifications: · Graduates/ MBA with preferably 1-2 years experience in Banking Operations Skills: · Thorough knowledge of GBS – ARIES and other applications used for processing remittances, including the capabilities of front end applications used by clients to push payments. · Thorough knowledge of the developments in the Payment Systems and interfaces, and the evolvement of paper to electronic payments. · Good Customer Service and Inter-personal skills. · Good computing and accounting skills. · Quality conscious and having flair for constant process improvement. · Ability to manage volumes with accuracy, and handle pressures in meeting the cut-off times and client CTQs. · Basic knowledge of Banking Operations functions (like Remittance, cash etc…) · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Ability to work in a team.
