Payroll Co-Ordinator [21/01/2010]
Description
- To administer the payroll and all other benefit schemes and to provide relevant reporting to internal management and external regulators.
- To provide financial support to the local Call Centre Operation (currently circa 470 staff)
- Timely and accurate processing of the payroll.
- Timely and accurate administration of staff benefits schemes.
- Providing help and information to staff on all benefits.
- Maintain up to date and accurate records for payroll and staff benefits.
- Ensuring adequate controls are maintained and adhered to.
- Timely payment of taxes to the Revenue.
- Timely submission of Revenue returns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The main duty of the Payroll Officer is the day-to-day management of the Payroll Function.
- Administration of starters & leavers onto the Payroll System
- Administration of overtime, bus tickets, salary amendments, increases & bonuses to be compiled & input onto system
- Accurate processing of deductions- pensions, VHI etc.
- Accurate processing of employee benefits in adherence with policy
- Run payroll accurately and on time each month
- Check all payslips against previous months' before dispatch
- Print & reconcile all salary reports - Backup payoll system -P45's
- Ensure that Payroll procedures adhere to Control Check List and Barclays Guidelines
- Document payroll issues which need to be escalated where necessary with HR/ Finance Manger.
- Transmission of monthly payroll file to Barclays Bank
- Dealing with employee/customer queries and effective resolution of same.
- Reconciliation of pension on a monthly basis against Pension Provider.
- Produce & Reconcile PAYE/PRSI/Net Wages on monthly basis.
- To submit P30 each month to Revenue with correct details
- Ensure all Tax Year End Procedures are in place after Month 12 Payroll- Print/Check/Dispatch P60's
- May be required to escalate / communicate situations that are out of roleholders remit to Line Management
- Manage own work in progress
Qualifications
- Min 2 years experience with sole responsibly of payroll
- Euro Pay experience
- IPASS qualification preferred
